what I did at work last week / Halloween

Finally, finally had a little bit of time at work to get the Halloween designs done, so they could be photographed, blogged about and put into the shop window. Here are some photos that belong to And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon, but I'm sure they won't mind me re-blogging. Wish there were some better photos of the monsters though.

There should be a 'boo' as well. Maybe it didn't survive the photoshoot?

Autumn Flavours

This is a bit behind the times, but now that my ABC blog is finally up and running, I can link to some of the autumn flavours that I developed in September for And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon, where I work 3 days a week.

When we're testing cakes, the remainders (after we've "deliberated, cogitated and digested"), are auctioned out via Twitter. If you're lucky enough to win, you get free cake; the only payment being your feedback. (Any Didsbury-dwelling friends take note, this is a good deal!)

As I'm the cupcake girl, I developed the Apple Pie and Custard and the Bramble cakes. The other Able Bakers developed the 'big' cakes (I am in love with the grasshopper cake, and will be attempting it at home soon. You can find the recipe here - yum)
